Hesketh Bank AFC on Grounds in Focus

On the day we defeated Slyne with Hest 4-0 at home (10th April) we were visited by a reporter and photographer from the website footbalgroundsinfocus.com. The website focuses on non-league football and travels around the country review grounds and reporting on the particular game they witness. The report for Station Road is very positive and includes some excellent photos. Check out the report by clicking here.

Thanks go to Andy Gallon (report) and Emma Jones (photos).

The Reserve Team's Promotion Race Explained

Stoneclough are now the West Lancs Reserve Division 2 champions and have subsequently claimed the 1st promotion spot to next season's Reserve Division 1. The second promotion spot will be claimed by one of two sides. Hesketh Bank or BAC/EE Springfields. BAC have one game remaining on the last day of the season against Hesketh Bank. Hesketh Bank have 2 games remaining against Wyre Villa and against BAC on the last day of the league season.

Hesketh Bank v Wyre Villa

Hesketh Bank win - HB will need a minimum of draw against BAC to secure promotion.

Draw - Hesketh Bank will need to win against BAC to secure promotion.

Wyre Villa win - Hesketh Bank will need to win against BAC to secure promotion.

What it boils down to is simple. Whatever the result this Saturday against Wyre Villa the Reserves cannot lose against BAC on the final day. If they do they will miss out on promotion.
