A TREBLE OF TROPHIES!

After a turbulent week at Hesketh Bank AFC the West Lancashire League's official presentation evening would become a welcome distraction. The journey turned out to be more than fruitful as the club picked up a treble of trophies. First of all club representatives Paul Sergeant (Chairman) and Dave Seed (Exec) recieved the offiicial presentation of the Presidents Cup. The club then picked up the fair play award, breaking the record for good disciplinary held by near neighbours Croston. The club picked up an individual award when Paul Sergeant recieved Assistant Referee of the Year to round off a hat-trick of awards.

DAVE SHERWOOD IS REF OF THE YEAR!

Former Hesketh Bank Junior manager Dave Sherwood was the recipient of the Central Lancashire Junior League's Referee of the Season award. Dave played a huge part in bringing through current first team players Jordan Smethurst and Josh Norgate to name just two. The club sends its congratulations to Dave. We should all remember that without referees, especially good ones, the game simply doesn't exist. Well done Dave!

ASHY COMPLETES THE 10K!

After raising over £500.00 for Leukimia and Lymphoma research striker John Ascroft completed the Manchester 10k in just a tad over 47 minutes! On behalf of the club we congratulate John and his fiancee Caroline (who completed the run herself in an impressive 1 hour) on their fund raising efforts and the run itself. Well done to both of you!
